How it works · Rules
Simple bureaucracy.
Guaranteed ego.
Four steps between you and an official document of absolutely nothing. No sign-up, no password, no queue. Well, there is a queue, but it leads nowhere.
- Step 1
Pick a title
Your name, your date or an exclusive title. Each title has one holder and a next minimum.
- Step 2
Pay the next minimum
From $5.00, always $0.10 above the last purchase. Card through Stripe, up to the limit of one charge. Offer more, if your ego asks.
- Step 3
Take the post
Payment confirmed, you become the holder at once. You get a certificate, a public page and cards to share.
- Step 4
Defend it. Or lose it.
Someone can pay more and take your place. You can reinforce. Your dated tenure stays in the history while the service operates.
Before the rules
A dispute told in four purchases.
Each purchase pays the whole amount and takes the post; whoever leaves stays in the history. The rules below detail each step, and each category adds its own.
Example
A dispute, from start to finish
- Liam P. registers Never WrongVacant title. Minimum entry.$5.00
- Theo M. takes the titlePaid the next minimum. Liam stays in the history.$5.10
- Theo M. reinforcesStill the holder, the reinforcement becomes the amount of the post.$10.00
- Bea Thorough takes the postCurrent holder. Next minimum: $12.10.$12.00
General rules
A real payment. A delightfully unnecessary title. Understand exactly how the fun works. These rules are part of the Registry terms and apply in the version accepted in each order, kept in the accepted terms of the order.
Article one
A symbolic purchase
You are buying a digital public entertainment record, which has no legal validity and confers no rights outside this site. The Ego Registry is not a game, a bet, a lottery, a raffle, a contest, a prize promotion, an auction, an investment or a sale of credits. Who holds the post depends only on the amount paid and on the order in which payments are confirmed, with no luck and no random factor. Nobody receives money, goods, discounts or any economic advantage, not even the previous holder. The internal verification badge does not verify your identity or any account on another platform. The Ego Registry is not meant for children or teenagers. Purchasing is only for people aged 18 or older.
Article two
Four ways to take part
Names, titles, words and dates have one current holder per item. A throne has a single holder for its whole category or, in The Last Word, The Only Verified Person, and The One-Member Club, for each season. The Queue to Nowhere gives a final position to each confirmed entry. The Last Person Online highlights the most recent payment time validated by the provider, even when notifications arrive out of order; earlier entries stay in the history. Each category shows its own rules in force.
Article three
Pay the full amount of the purchase
The first record of a title costs $5.00, and each new purchase must be at least $0.10 above the last one. You may offer more than the minimum. Each takeover is a new purchase for the full amount shown, not a payment of the difference, and the previous holder receives nothing. The Queue to Nowhere and The Last Person Online have a fixed price of $5.00. In the categories that allow it, only the current holder may reinforce, after signing in: the reinforcement is a new purchase of any amount from the next minimum, and that amount becomes the current amount of the post.
Article four
Pay and wait for confirmation
The site accepts credit and debit cards, in a single payment, through Stripe, up to the limit of one charge. Once the order is created, you have 5 minutes to pay. From $100,000.00, the order waits for approval, with an answer by email within 24 hours; once approved, you have 12 hours to open the payment, and the 5 minutes count from then. While the order waits, the post stays on sale, and the offer stands while it covers the minimum of the moment. From $10,000.00, check that your card limit covers the amount in a single payment. A late payment does not guarantee the record and, when it cannot be fulfilled, is refunded automatically. Opening the payment page does not create a public record: the payment must be confirmed and the record published. Follow the status if the payment or the publication is still being processed. Do not pay again just because the return page is slow.
Article five
Your turn may be brief; the history stays
Each dispute runs for the time its category states. A later valid purchase can replace the holder at once, with no minimum time guaranteed. Losing the title this way gives no refund. The cancellation period still applies to each purchase, and duplicate or undue charges are refunded, as the Registry terms guarantee.
Article six
A record to share
We publish the record right after the payment is confirmed, on a page with its own link. The certificate in PNG and PDF and the four images for social networks are available within 24 hours of that confirmation; if that does not happen, you may cancel with a full refund, even outside the cancellation period. The files carry the public name, the title, the protocol, the date and the amount or the position, and may mention up to three previous holders, with the amounts they paid; city, links and declaration appear only on the page of the record. The shared images describe your recorded tenure, even after someone takes your place, and are redone when the card changes.
Article seven
Your card, your declaration
The signature card gathers the public name or pseudonym, the city and up to six links, and signs every record of your email address; the name changes at most once every 30 days. The form refuses links to betting, gambling or sexual content sites (such as .bet, .casino, .porn or .xxx), and a new or changed website only appears after review. In the categories that show a declaration, each record has its own, up to 120 characters: it changes freely in the first 24 hours, then allows one correction every seven days and freezes when someone else takes the post. You may hide the card from a record, withdraw the declaration at any time or use Anonymise everything, which removes your identity from every record for good. Your purchase email is private and opens My Account through a secure link; receipts and notices always arrive, news only with your yes. Withdrawing the public identity does not erase financial or audit records. Public content goes through moderation, and the final decision is always a person’s: a public name, declaration or social username that mentions betting or adult content is held for review, and a report never hides content on its own.
Article eight
Share your experience
Buyers with an eligible record may voluntarily send one testimonial per person in My Account. Choose the record whose public name you authorise, write 20 to 600 characters and consent to publication. Every submission or change waits for moderation. You may withdraw your story at any time.

- The One-Member Club
- Own a Word

- The Queue to Nowhere
- The Last Person Online
Official Names
- No identity verification is required.
- Each curated name has one holder. A later purchase at the current minimum can take the record.
- Spelling aliases resolve to the same record. Missing names can be requested for review.
Exclusive Titles
- Each title has exactly one current holder, and holding it is a claim the holder makes about themselves.
- The record creates no qualification, employment or authority, it is no prize and nobody else’s recognition, and it measures no merit, dedication or knowledge.
- The minimum starts at US$5 and rises by US$0.10 over the last purchase. You pay the full chosen amount, and somebody else can take the post by paying more.
The Last Word
- One throne for the entire registry, disputed by season: each calendar year, in UTC, is a round with its own address.
- This is a general title. Do not identify or accuse another person in your declaration.
- Losing the post does not mean waiting for the next season: a former holder can take the last word back on any day of the same round, with a new purchase.
- Buying does not guarantee keeping it until the end: someone else can take the post at any moment until purchases close for the round, at 11:30 p.m. UTC on its last day.
- Whoever holds the post at the end of the season is recorded as the holder at the close; the history and the certificates stay at the address of the round. The next season opens empty, with no automatic renewal.
The Only Verified Person
- One badge for the whole registry, disputed by season: each calendar year, in UTC, is a round with its own address.
- This badge is issued only by The Ego Registry. It does not verify identity, authenticity, notability or any account on another service.
- The badge always appears with the brand and the address of the Registry. It is not an identity credential.
- Losing the badge does not mean waiting for the next season: whoever held it can take it back on any day of the same round, with a new purchase.
- Buying does not guarantee keeping it until the end: someone else can take the badge at any moment until purchases close for the round, at 11:30 p.m. UTC on its last day.
- Whoever holds the badge at the end of the season is recorded as the holder at the close; the history and the certificates stay at the address of the round. The next season opens with no badge and no automatic renewal.
The One-Member Club
- One seat for the whole registry, disputed by season: each calendar year, in UTC, is a round with its own address.
- A new paid admission moves the former member into the gallery of the year.
- The former holder receives no share of the new payment or refund for a regular takeover.
- The current holder may reinforce while no competing reservation is active.
- Whoever left does not have to wait for the next season: they can come back on any day of the same round, with a new purchase.
- Buying does not guarantee staying until the end: someone else can get in at any moment until purchases close for the round, at 11:30 p.m. UTC on its last day.
- Whoever is in the club at the end of the season is recorded as the holder at the close; the history and the certificates stay at the address of the round. The next season opens with the armchair empty and no automatic renewal.
Own a Word
- The record grants no trademark, copyright, linguistic or commercial rights.
- Words are curated by the registry. Approved spelling variants lead to the same canonical item.
Own This Day
- Each date is a full day, year included. Any real date of the calendar counts; February 29 exists only in leap years, and no date is moved to another.
- Whoever pays the next minimum takes the date at once; whoever loses it stays in the history of the date.
- No ownership, holiday right or exclusivity over events is created.
The Queue to Nowhere
- Your final position is assigned only after payment settlement.
- Positions cannot be transferred and do not promise any future benefit.
- Reversed payments void the position without renumbering the queue.
The Last Person Online
- Provider-confirmed payment time determines the holder, regardless of notification order.
- Every valid purchase enters the history, even if a newer one has already arrived.
- A very short tenure is possible. No minimum duration is promised.
These rules are part of the Registry terms.
